This was stuck in my knee today....
The good news is, nothing is torn but the cartilage is worn down and the doctor said that he would recommend I take up another form of exercise. He said that I could run this weekend but I am not sure if my friend that lives in Dallas made other plans or not, since I told her I probably wouldn't be able to run. I haven't ran at all in two weeks so it will not hurt my feelings if she has. I am sure I would have to walk most of it.
Before my ortho appointment I went to the check up with my band doctor. He called me skinny (blush). He asked me how much more weight I wanted to lose. I told him I would like to be 118, that would put me at a 20 BMI. He said he wasn't opposed to it but he wasn't going to give me a fill to help me off this plateau of 127.8. I am sure once my knee pain subsides and I am able to exercise it will help a lot. I don't go back until April 30.
I did some major shopping this weekend with my sister. We hit Marshall's and Ross. I got some really cute dresses and a few shirts. I still needed pants so I stopped at Name Brand Clothing and found 5 pair of Ann Taylor Loft pants (size 4) and a rain jacket (it is pouring here) for $30!! I find that I still go straight for the 12/14's and have to remind myself that I am in the wrong place. My sister kept getting on to me for grabbing large shirts. I also gave away most of my "big" clothes. I was getting tired of picking up a pair of pants for work thinking I had something to wear and they wouldn't stay up. Not that I am complaining about wearing a size 4 for the first time in my life!!!
I am using the injection in my knee as an excuse not to cook tonight. I wonder what Dennis will come up with for dinner....

was it a steroid shot? I got that in my knee a few weeks ago for pain and now I have to find another form of exercise too. Hope you get better and I don't blame you for not cooking!!
