I have been absent for awhile because I really haven't had a lot of positive things to say. February has turned out to be a really crappy month for me. I could list all the things that have happened this month to cause that, but I am not going to put that negativity out there. February is almost over and March is going to be bangin'.
I will tell you about my latest incident though (which explains the typos). I tried to break up a fight between my two 70+ pound dogs and got bit on Friday. I ended up with a lot of soft tissue bruising and swelling and 3 stitches. Makes it kind of challanging to type but I am suffering through.
Yesterday I got a Groupon massage and decided to go to Ann Taylor Loft to see what they had on sale. The last pair I bought were 4's (squee) but they didn't have any on the sale rack so I tried on a couple of 2's and they actually fit. Granted they are tight but they don't cut me in two!! The funniest thing about it was the girl at th check out told me I might want to shrink one pair because they will probaby be a little big (are you freaking kidding me).
I will update more later but it seriously hurts to type.

What a week and jeans up for grabs
I have been kinda MIA this week but holy cow what an emotional roller coaster of a week it has been.
It kind of started off on an interesting note. I had a job interview for a Regional Program Manager position that is supposed to be out of Dallas. I would really like to have this job but I don't want to live in Dallas. This position was at one time just housed out of whatever District the person who got the job worked out of. If I do accidentally get the job I hope they will do that again. We will just have to see. I think Dennis is a little nervous that I might move.
Then there was Tuesday. I had been talking to one of my friends about getting a new car. I had a 2009 and it was a great car, but it was a base model, no extras at all. I am not a "flipper" when it comes to cars and usually drive them until the wheels fall off but I decided if I am going to do that, I want more bells and whistles. So I called the dealership, got exactly what I wanted and got the financing approved and all that stuff and went on my lunch break to pick it up and sign the papers. Dennis works across the highway from the dealership so when I was done I drove over to show him my Lime Squeeze Escape. Lets just say he wasn't happy. He demanded I take it back and get my old car back (he has PTSD and when something sets him off it isn't pretty). After a lot of embarrassing hoops, I got my old car back. I knew I was going to keep the new one but I thought this might give Dennis time to get used to the idea. We talked and "discussed" the situation for hours. His main argument for me not buying a new car was that I had to borrow money from my retirement to pay for my surgery so I am obviously not in a position to buy a new car. Whatever. I got the car and he is over it. He still hasn't even so much as looked inside it though...maybe because it is lime green. It would be different if we lived together and shared finances but we don't and I did this all on my own. I felt he should be proud of me for getting a car with 0% interest. It sucks because instead of having an exciting day I will always remember that fight when I think about getting my new car.
I have had some pretty good runs lately. Of course after the big fight on Tuesday I didn't eat right and almost passed out at the 2 mile mark. My friend that I run with is faster then me and I have trouble keeping up with her most of the time, but she was telling me I had to slow down, I started out at 8 minute miles. Nothing like a little anger to make you speed up.
Yesterday I just didn't want to run. I hadn't slept well all week because of all the stress and drama and I was just tired. Then when I went to start my garmin it showed that the battery was low. I took that as a sign and told my friend she would have to run solo. But, I have a half marathon in 30 days so I said screw it, I will use an iPhone app. Made it almost 2 miles into the run and got bit by a dog. Me of all people, who has fostered and rescued 100's of dogs. I figured he must have been a pure breed bought from a puppy mill, lol. Anyway, no blood just a scratch and a knot/bruise under the skin. It was enough though, I called the run and went back to my car. I ended up with 2.26 miles in 30:02. I have a ten miler tomorrow so I will make up that 3/4 of a mile.
I am not even going to start on the work stress I am feeling right now. We had a contractor working for us, she was a retired Chief that came back to work. She is really smart but not organized at all. They cancelled the contract thinks to Congress and the never ending funding snafu, so I am trying to do forensic work on top of my work. I seriously think this stuff is giving me an ulcer. We have a meeting with another Division at 3, I am sure it is to bitch at me for not knowing what I am doing (I don't). Fun times.
So while I am here and all I have a pair of size31 True Religion jeans - probably size 10. I paid $200 for these jeans but I can't wear them anymore, they are just too big and fall off of me. They need a new home and I don't want to just donate them to Goodwill, I want to know they went to a good home, lol. They were altered to fit my short legs (I am 5'3"), pretty sure they have a 29" inseam or close to. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks for listening. I am sure I owe you guys some money for the counseling session.
