Down to 155.6 this morning. BMI 27.6, so close to a "healthy" BMI. Things have changed so much since the last day of June.
Once upon a time I used to be a runner, even ran a marathon (big mistake). As the weight piled on running got harder and harder so I eventually just quit. I have been running a little; between injuries it seems, lately and decided I would join my running friends and do the 5K that is held in conjunction with a marathon here in town. I some how rationalized that if I could do a 5K I could enlist a few friends and do a leg of the marathon relay. So instead of 3.2 miles I am going to be running 5. This could be interesting since I have only kind of ran in the last year or so. I hope I don't let everyone on my team down. I seriously got to get off my a$$ and hit the trail.
I made a decision the other day about my gym and the trainer that I now hate. I took my geriatric dog in for acupuncture and talked to his vet for awhile. She told me I really needed to find a gym with a pool so when/if I do get injured I am not just out. I have maybe 6 sessions left with the trainer but have been out of contract for a long time. I have been looking around to see what I can find. I am going to call the old gym today and tell them that I want out of my contract. There are several places to choose from, but I think I will probably join Gold's. It is newer, has a pool and a cardio theater, and isn't too far from my house. Trainer is going to be pissed but I am so over him. Not to mention I need to concentrate on running until Thanksgiving.
Better get to work I guess. I am having my allergies retested next week so I am off all my allergy meds and I feel like crap. I also feel like my body is detoxing from the meds, I am just in a fog.

The trainer will get over it. You need to do what's best for YOU!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your running!
And congrats on your weigh-in!
