So maybe I am just feeling sorry for myself and having some of the "honeymoon is over" feelings towards my band.
My surgery was 5 months ago and I have only lost 26.8 pounds, a lot of people have lost that in the first month!! I really need to focus on the fact that I have lost just under 27 pounds regardless of what other people do. I ran the marathon relay with my friends in miserable weather and we came in under 7 hours and I did my first 5K in years and came in at 45:26. I should have been pleased with the time but I was just kind of defeated that I never seem to get faster.
I need to just get over myself.

You should be proud of your accomplishments! Everyone looses differently ~ you can't compare yourself to others. Keep marching on and just think you are almost 30 pounds lighter ~ how great!
ReplyDeleteI might have lost almost as much as you in my first month... but I cant run a 5K or a marathon... so be happy about what you have acheived.
ReplyDeleteCould you run a 5K before? I can't. I know it is tough, but all of our bodies are different. Just keep doing what you need to do and you will get the weight off.
ReplyDeleteThirty pounds is still a lot and you should celebrate that.
Down is better than up. I say that to myself each and every time I get on the scale. Down is better than up. Repeat.
ReplyDeleteCelebrate your fabulous success and know that you have changed as a person both inside and out. That is what matters! xxx
