finally feeling it

I sucked it up and went to the gym last night!!  I looked up some treadmill workouts on google and found one that I thought I would try out.  This is the one I used;

0-5          4.0
5-6          5.0
6-7          6.0
7-8          5.0
8-9          6.5
9-10        4.0
10-11      6.5
11-12      5.0
12-13      7.0
13-14      5.0
14-15      7.5
15-16      4.0
16-17      6.5
17-18      5.5
18-19      7.0
19-20      5.5
20-21      8.0
21-22      5.5
22-23      7.0
23-24      6.5
25-30      4.0

Obviously it was 30 minutes and I ran it on a 1.0 incline.  It was a lot tougher then I thought it would be.  I don't get anywhere near an 8.0 on the speed and I have to say, it gave me some anxiety.  I think I lasted about 30 seconds before I had to dial it down.  I think I need to start going to the gym once a week and doing this workout until I can it without any anxiety.  I think it would make me faster.  I normally run about a 13 minute mile outside so this is for sure out of my comfort zone.

Today I am sitting at my desk with a frozen bottle of water under my foot.  It doesn't really hurt but I don't want it to start hurting again either.  Plus it kind of feels good to roll it under my arch.

Tonight I would love to do something on my Wii but I don't think we connected it when we got the new TV.  I will have to see if I can figure it out and then maybe do 30 minutes or so on it.  If not I will figure something out.  My work running friend said something about running after work today, and I brought my stuff, but I have a feeling she will go to the treadmill instead of running outside because she has a cough.  I will just leave my bag up here and run on Thursday when the weather is supposed to be in the 50's again.

I am off work on Monday and am going in to see my band doctor.  I haven't been in to see him in a very long time.  I would love to have a tiny fill but I don't think he will give it to me.  When I weighed at the gym last night after running with clothes but no shoes I was up to 115.  He said he would consider giving me a fill if/when I got to 115 so we will see.  I am also going to get a facial.  Really looking forward to that.  I should get up early and go to the gym that morning since my appointments don't start until 11:30 but it is so hard for me to get my ass in gear!

All this talk about exercise is making me hungry.

  1. I love getting facials....except the EXTRACTION--lol!!
    that running regime looks tough..I can't go much above 5...I AM SUPER SLOW! Great goal though...

  2. Yeah, incline makes a huge difference. Everything I've read encourages you to incline while on the treadmill to mimic running outside. Best of luck!

  3. Keep at it and you will get to that point where you will no longer be anxious about the workout :o) good luck with your appointment too!

  4. Facials are sooooo relaxing. Enjoy it!

    That workout would give ME anxiety. 8.0 is what I finish at with some sprinting, not something I ever try and really sustain.
